We purchased a plot of land ( farmland) from a developer to convert it into horticulture with a small farmhouse in the year 1997, the same year it was published in the news that the land sold by the developer was FOREST LAND. The project came under complete HOLD since then. The purchasers did not pursue legal course because the developer kept assuring about the possession. Now the developer has resurfaced again after a long absence saying that the forest land will be converted to private forest and then permission will be granted for building an integrated township, which then increases the value of the property exponentially. He is now requesting additional money for the process of converting forest to private forest & then to integrated township ... We wish to take legal action to make the developer return our money @ principal + interest, OR @ current market rate ... kindly advise.

Subject: Query requesting to clarify my legal rights on ancestral commercial property plz clarify my legal rights on ancestral commercial property My Religion- Hindu Dear Sir/Madam, My father is the owner of sets of commercial properties (shops rented in bazaar) inherited from his father, his grandfather devolved lineage which is currently rented out for commercial purposes. The rental income for the entire property is collected and used up by my father to himself for the past 20 years since his inheritance. All these properties are transferred to him through a Will (95%) & gift deed (5%) from his parents. As part of the discrimination behavior without conscience towards me, now my father threatens me saying that he is going to pass on the entire property to my elder brother through a legal process in future. Is it possible to claim my legal share on the above said property when both my father & mother are alive? If possible kindly let me know the procedure to be done vividly. Expecting your kind guidance as a trail reply for my above query.. Thanks and Regards, Aravind aravindshvks@gmail.com

My mother had purchased a plot in of the rural areas of Bihar. Now after 20 years of the purchase some dalits have encroached a part of it and claim that it is their ancestral property. We tried several ways by going to the police and producing the original documents but things are not getting any better. Since Bihar has its own state laws for Dalits so any kind of stringent actions from our side can create big issues for our family staying there. Kindly let me know what can be done from the legal aspect and how useful can it be?
