The academic course of every college varies and is expected to create it's own assessment process. In case the internship is evaluated every semester as a paper, then failing to do so may lead to a supplementary exams or the result may be withheld leading to issues with the final assessment of your result. There is a possibility that the internship may be compulsory without evaluation which will not result in any issues with the evaluation but the administration will have the option to withold the resul. For this it is very important for you to examine the rules and by-laws governing the academic activities in your Institute to determine the possible consequences. At the same time, internships will help you in improving your knowledge in the subject and provide you good experience in working professionally which can help you in your growth for the future.
