Website Terms and conditions and privacy policy

  • 1 Answer

May I know the difference between terms and conditions for a website and privacy policy? I would like to draft both so I would like to know the difference and essentials.

Answer 1

Terms and Conditions of a website puts forth what is expected from users of the site such as activities. Further, legal requirements, liabilities, indemnification and the like can be included. A privacy policy on the other hand is focused on how personal data of users will be utilized and how they will be kept safe. Details on the same will be included in a privacy policy.
